CCSO Chases Clarksville Man Wanted out of Tennessee and Kentucky

A Clarksville man wanted in KY and TN was arrested yesterday evening after a short foot pursuit in Crofton.

Shortly after 6pm on Wednesday afternoon, Sheriff DeArmond and K9 Sgt. Myers were dispatched to the area of the Crofton Dollar General Store attempting to locate 29-year-old Joshua Shandle, of Clarksville, who was allegedly being followed by a bounty hunter from Tennessee. Deputies ran the subjects name and it was determined that he was wanted out of Calloway County and Tennessee. The subject was spotted outside of the Dollar General Store and units attempted to apprehend him at that time. Shandle ran from units, across Madisonville Rd. and was apprehended a short time later off of Short Street in Crofton.
After Shandle was taken into custody, Deputy Burgess’ K9 “Jango” alerted on Shandle’s vehicle and Deputies found two baggies of suspected ecstasy, and Oxycodone pills which appeared to be packaged for sale. Also found in the center console of the vehicle was a Sig Sauer 9mm handgun loaded with hollow point ammunition. Shandle is a convicted felon.

Shandle was charged with:

-Fleeing/Evading Police 1st Degree
-Poss. of a Handgun by a Con. Felon
-Using Restricted Ammunition
-Trafficking in a Cont. Subs. 1st
-Poss. of Drug paraphernalia
-Trafficking Cont. Subs w/ in 1,000 ft. of a School
-Resisting Arrest

Shandle was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
