The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is joining law enforcement agencies all across the nation in the annual “Click it or Ticket” campaign. The campaign will focus on enforcing seatbelt laws in Christian County and raising awareness of the importance of seatbelt and child restraint usage. “We see way too many accidents where injured parties weren’t wearing seatbelts.” says Patrol Captain, Chris Miller. “Statistically, seat belts save lives. There have been numerous studies to prove that. You can’t argue with the science.” Deputies, along with their regular duties, will be out in full force looking for seatbelt/ child restraint infractions, with increased efforts between May 21st and June 3rd. No warnings will be issued during this time as we promote and encourage safe driving habits. ]]>
