The Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested 4 females Saturday in connection with a string of shoplifting complaints, in several jurisdictions to include Christian County, Henderson County, Hopkins County, and Evansville Indiana. Sgt James Dragoo received a complaint that 4 females had allegedly shoplifted some merchandise from the Dollar Store in Crofton, KY. Sgt. Dragoo stopped a vehicle on Clark Street in Hopkinsville that matched the description given by the employees at the Dollar General Store moments before, and was also driving recklessly. During the traffic stop investigation, Sgt. Dragoo discovered large amounts of stolen merchandise from the Dollar Store and arrested all the occupants. Further investigation led to the discovery of other stolen merchandise in excess of $5,000.00 from the other jurisdictions. Contact was made with those departments, who described the appearance of their suspects, which matched what the suspects were wearing when they were stopped, and further charges are expected.
