The caller is claiming to be a “Deputy James Marshal” with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and informs the person on the other end of the line that they have a warrant and can take care of it by paying an amount of money online. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office does NOT operate this way and discourages anyone from falling for this scam. Please do not give out your personal information including date of birth, social security number, or bank account information to anyone unless you are absolutely sure who you are giving it to.
