Hopkinsville/ Christian County Task Force Makes Meth Arrest

PRESS RELEASE:
On 03/27/2019, Investigators assigned to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Violent Crimes Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by 32-year-old Shasta Maupin of Midway, KY, for allegedly committing a traffic violation on Fort Campbell Boulevard. A search of the vehicle was conducted and investigators allegedly discovered approximately 15 ounces of crystal methamphetamine and $4,620.00 in US Currency. The seized crystal methamphetamine has an approximate street value of $42,000.00.


Maupin was arrested and charged with:

  • -1st Degree Trafficking in Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).

Maupin was transported to the Christian County Jail where she remains at the time of release.

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Violent Crimes Task Force is comprised of members from the Hopkinsville Police Department, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives(ATF), Drug Enforcement Administration(DEA), and Federal Bureau of Investigations(FBI).
